After years of volunteering in a hospice for HIV+ children and women in Thailand, and bear witness to the joy and will to live of this remarkable beings, I decided to portray them with the light and beauty I saw in them, away from the grim images we are use to see about the HIV pandemic. They wrote words of meaning in their skin and told me their stories of resilience, love and hope.
